Drawing on my unique background as a Sergeant Medic in the army, I developed a profound appreciation for the vital role of Audiology Care and Rehabilitation.

My journey in audiology took root through impactful internships at renowned institutions like the H.A. Leeper Speech and Hearing Clinic at Western University in Canada. I engaged in diverse clinical experiences to further refine my skills, including positions at St. Thomas Hearing Clinic, Connect Hearing Clinic, and Bentley Hearing Clinic. These encounters fueled my passion for assisting individuals grappling with troublesome tinnitus and hyperacusis challenges.

I attained my Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in the United States. Before that, I completed my Master’s in Clinical Science in Audiology (M.Cl.Sc.) and Bachelor of Science in Honors Biology (HONS. B.Sc.) at Western University in Canada. I am licensed by the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and hold memberships with the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA) and the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).

I’ve undergone various rigorous, specialized training, including the Master Therapy Class for Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Specialist Training by Dr. Hashir (at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in the United Kingdom), both Levels I and II of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, Laurier University) and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) by Dr. Jastreboff. I hold certifications in Mindfulness at both Level I and II (McMaster University), and I’ve successfully completed an intensive Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, showcasing my commitment to fostering optimal auditory well-being.

Outside of audiology, I’ve dedicated 27 years to practicing Kendo, a Japanese martial art renowned for its focus on discipline, precision, and respect in swordsmanship. As a fifth-degree black belt (Go-Dan), I teach Kendo at Waterloo University in Canada with great enthusiasm.
